Terms of Use

Acceptance

By downloading or using ScanKit ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ScanKit for personal, non-commercial purposes on any device you own or control.

Free Tier

The free version of ScanKit allows up to 2 document scans per day. Scanned documents can be viewed, exported as PDF, and shared. Free users do not have access to OCR, signatures, folders, merge/split, or document locking.

ScanKit Pro Subscription

ScanKit Pro is available as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Pro unlocks:

• Unlimited document scans
• OCR text recognition with full-text search
• Signature drawing and placement
• Folders and document organization
• Merge and split documents
• Password and biometric lock

Subscription Terms

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Refunds

All purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple. We do not process payments or refunds directly.

Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of any documents you scan, signatures you create, and PDFs you export using ScanKit. We claim no rights over your content.

Accuracy Disclaimer

ScanKit processes documents on-device. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all document edges will be detected perfectly or that OCR text will be error-free. Always verify important information independently.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanKit and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

No Warranty

ScanKit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of France.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
